Now that we are at the doorstep of Regionals...who has the best club team and the chance to finish best at Nationals?

The results thus far have not been that shocking...this is a Rochester Web site, but what is the real cause for the imbalance of votes? Is it the addition of Stefani to Pace or is it the addition of Walt Stefani to Pace through Mike Stefani? Even though Walt won't be lacing his Mizunos up, you have to think that his presence on the sidelines demands the respect of everyone in the gym...
What are your thoughts?
I believe Pace may win the National title this year!!! |

| Mike is a good player, but Eden can play with them. Pace's serving was improved by making this acquisition. It will be interesting to see what happens at Regionals. Good luck to all!!!!! |

| Okay, I do agree that Mike is a good player, but let us not count our chickens until they are hatched? I was just simply stating that I thought Eden is good and has just as good a chance as anyone. |

| I like Eden's team. they are solid. We (PACE) have gotten a jump in the head to head...but like I said to the players....I hope regionals are the last time we have to play against each other..... |

Finally, a voice of reason. You have a great squad Q!! Your team is a great serving team and defensively you are the best in the region. I think we can play with you, if we work on our defense. It is nice to have two solid 18's teams come out of the region this year! |

Tootall, once again you fail to recognize that Pace is the only solid team coming out of the region!!!! Unless the addition of Stefani to Pace turns out to be like the addition of T.O. to the Bills, then they will roll you every time they play you.
Also, how come Walt is not the assisstant for Pace 18's? |

Ok. You are pretty funny. I can't comment on your claims about either Stefani, but I'm thinking a couple of kids named Lipsitz (sp?) and Anderson were OK players, to name a few. By the way, this isn't Walt Stefani, is it? |

Lol, I agree. Guru is obviously medicated. Everyone on this site knows who I am and I would agree with you. Especially since I had the pleasure of coaching Anderson for a stint of his career. I don't know if Guru is trying to get a rise out of us, but his claims do not hold much ground. That is the unfortunate thing about this site, there is no way to hold people accountable for what they say!!!! |

| i think the addition of pat to eden, will do more for the team then the addition of mike to pace. it lets eden do alot more with there line up. and i dont no what it is...but its just something about that coach at eden that just puts them over the hump...look out for them at regionals east coasts and jo's |

I am glad to see Panther finally get the respect that they deserve!!! They are a team faceless men that get the job done. I will be a proud Northtowns player when I see that Panther has finished higher than both Eden and Pace at Nationals.
Does anybody know why Mike waited so long to play club...and why didn't he play for Eden? |

I always picture Pace players and even parents being the type that would cheer and celebrate every point because they were a tight knit group. Stefani is a good player but hardly see how he fits into that picture. I figured they would turn him down for the same reasons that Tim Harrer was turned down for the 1980 Olympic hockey team. Lots of talent but hardly part of the family. It sets a bad example for the organization how everything went down.

Leave the kid alone. I don't remember hearing any negative posts when a different WNY player (Peterson.. who was a good player and good kid as well) went and played for PACE last year just before nationals. Had he played with the Power Station group... i think they would have had a pretty solid team. He didn't like his fit, so he went elsewhere. Things worked out well for him.
Good luck to Pace. You have a more rounded team with more depth with Mike.

Both teams got better before they get ready for nationals.

What is wrong with people? The hatred of Mike Stefani is evident. If he was an arrogant jerk, or a real bad egg, I could see it. The fact that he is successful and a great player buy all important accounts speaks volumes. He also happens to be nice and a respectful person on and off the court. If you hate him, its for the wrong reasons, and it shows how flimsy you are. If You hate the old man then hate the old man. Get over the Stefani thing people. It only makes you (all of the naysayers) look stupid and petty. Wanna discuss it with me personally? I would be glad too.

I agree with coach Lexner. This is not a site for slander or unfounded critisism. Mike has always come up to me and been very kind before and after Frontier v. OP and Pace v. Eden matches. I hope that none of my Eden boys are responsible for this chatter!
