I don't usually do shameless self promotion, but I will in this case
Congrats to the RAVE 18-1's for a great job winning the Southern Tier Classic. They went 8-1 over the weekend, beating a pretty good Southern Tier Eagles team twice along the way.
Also props to other Rochester teams. 3 out of the 4 semifinalists were from Rochester. VFX Illusion and Xtreme Nova finished 3rd in the tourney.

I was there to witness the final......and a GREAT final it was!!! 3 close games with amazing defensive saves and big, big swings.
Down 7 to 4 in the 3rd game, Rave battled back behind some great defense, timely blocking and tremendous serving. Congratulations to you and your girls on a very successful weekend!!
Shameless self-promotion would occur if you posted that you won $300 at your latest office pool...or bragged about six-packing some overweight housewife for match point at the local adult co-ed Wednesday nights vball league...or crowed about laying down 3 grand on Mine That Bird at last week's Derby (without offering to buy everyone on this board a round of drinks).
Letting us share in your girls' success doesn't fall into that category as that's part of the great thing about this board. We in the vball community get to share in the feats of the many great kids we have in this sport. Sounds like a pretty exciting match. I miss that tourney. Southerntier always put on a great event. Congrats.
