There is now a new site for WNY volleyball.
It is directed mostly towards adult volleyball in the Buffalo area, but I thought I should let this forum's users know since there's already such a wide base of volleyball players - both from the Rochester and Buffalo region - that use this forum and website.
The site is about a week old and is expanding by the day as the WNYvball staff compiles more information from Bar Leagues, Pick Up Leagues, and Tournaments in the WNY area. Please take a look, especially if you are a Buffalonian, and let us know what you think!

Just checked it out...probably the best vball Web site ever. However, although the two images you have selected do represent WNY volleyball very well...you may want to consider getting a couple shots of the Lone Wolves!!!!

I think its just starting but by the looks of it, it has a lot of promise. Getting something started like that is a great thing for vball in the area and they probably should have known that rochester peeps would down it immediately |

Voice, I assume your contributions to Rochester have been immense! We are all very proud of what you have done for your region and volleyball in general. I thank you for your constructive criticism (much like my 9th grade ELA students that make comments about reading "this is lame" or "this sucks"). Eloquence must be your strong suit. Here is an idea. How about when you bash something you give some sort of reasoning...or even better yet...if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all.
Maybe you could direct me to your site or something that you created that benefited ANYONE...oh you can't...that is okay. Just keep posting on this site where 5% of the posts are legitimate and the rest is filled with prepubescent idiocy...

and may I add, the BNCC is the best venue Buffalo could come up with for the Preview to the Final Four? With all of those colleges and high schools nearby? |

UB wants $3000 just to open the door. Being able to run a 6 court jr's clinic and then switch to a main court . High ceiling, perfect lighting, no parking issues, referee clinic, food venue, music, TV's, training center.......and complete support from the BNCC staff to help keep the event first class? Outside of alumni gym can't think of a better scenario. |

and what may I ask is wrong with the BNCC...
Everyone is so quick to judge. Just remind me of the last time you brought D1 volleyball to WNY?! Did it include a players clinic or a coaches clinic presented by an Olympic coach? Do you know the head coaches of Penn State or Mason or IPFW or Loyola well enough to get them to spend some of their budget to come out here and play? Maybe you would like to pay the facility price or organize the dozens of parents that will work the event for free...can you get some hotels and transportation for the team while you are at it? Why don't you complain about Naz being in it like one of the other idiots did on this site?
I would like to say thank you to Robert and Cal and all those that VOLUNTEER (that means for free) in order to make this event happen. Anybody know of anything else like this in the area that we can go to? No? Surprising…

More Bash Buffalo garbage....whatever. It was lame when the site started and is even more lame now. I have allegiances to both since im from Rochester. I must say I am embarrased of that now when I read these posts. If you dont want to to come to the BNCC then don't come. Its a first class facility run by a first class staff. |

The BNCC is amazing!! I wish and pray everyday that Rochester would, or could have the resources to build such a facility. I think that BNCC will be a great site for the "Preview".
However, the site is still terrible.....
By the way Tootall....you are correct. I have done nothing for volleyball in the area. Nothing at all..... |

I also think the BNCC is a great facility, been there many times. I guess I didn't word my question carefully so that it couldn't be taken as criticism. My apologies. I meant it as a general question as to why the Buffalo area colleges wouldn't open their doors to such an event? Just wondering |

Oh are you a coach...do you critique your players in the same way you do Web sites?..."Coaching this team was a waste of two months of my time"...or maybe you are a father..."Being your dad has been a waste of 18 years of my life".

I think the site is still in development. Give it some time. This site didnt hit the ground running. It took some time to catch on, and now has lost a lot of its original base. |

What?!? Comparing coaching or being a father to my comments about your website is quite confusing. I have a great idea!! If your website is so amazing, you should go there and post all of your volleyball related topics. Maybe then, and only then, would that site become interesting....... |

I do not mean to start any sort of argument. The site is a week old and just trying to get some exposure. The website, albeit "terrible", is merely another resource for WNY volleyball, which are unfortunately fairly scarce nowadays.
It is in no way, shape, or form anything near that of Rochestervball.com. I'm not trying to compare it to that or anything in WNY for that matter. Sorry for trying to create another way for volleyball players to connect? Sorry the site doesn't meet your design standards.

The only thing VOR is guilty of is following the instructions in the first post:

Agreed. I would like to ask Voice of Reason where specifically the site needs improvement so I can make it better!

You are correct, but I assume "let you us know what you think" means give constructive feedback! How is "this Web site is terrrible" supposed to give the creator any ideas about possible ways to improve the site...

Right now there is nothing on the site......
That makes it terrible. I hope this clears everything up. Put something on the site and then we can all re-evaluate it. I can not give "constructive feedback" to a website containing nothing. |

See now that wasn't that hard...or was it? I assume there is little on the site because it just opened. I remember when this site was just a skeleton...
