The AVP today unveiled its 2010 apparel line, re-launching its online shop to reflect a new product line offering better products and better value.

“The AVP is proud to announce the re-launch of our AVP.com Online Merchandise Store,” said Canyon Ceman, AVP vice president. “Bill Sigler and his team at Coastal Sol have worked hard to improve our 2010 product line with better designs, quality fabrics, and better value for dollar. Now the e-commerce experience will match the AVP apparel line for quality and convenience.”

In addition to the AVP’s online shop, fans will be able to check out the new apparel at the on-site merchandise tent at events throughout the 2010 AVP NIVEA Tour. Fans who buy tickets online will receive a 10-percent discount at the on-site merchandise tent this season. AVP merchandise may also soon be available at retail stores across the country.

“A nationwide retail distribution plan is critical to the long-term growth of the brand,” said Jason Hodell, AVP CEO. “We look forward to growing with Coastal Sol as partners.”

Coastal Sol is the parent company of Smack Sportswear, the manufacturer of the new AVP line. Smack has outfitted more professional beach volleyball athletes than any other company, including Jose Loiola, Dax Holdren, Sean Scott, Tim Hovland, Angie Akers, Tyra Turner, and NCAA MVPs and National Champions Jeff Nygaard and Christal Morrison. Smack is the innovative leader in custom beach uniforms, a market which will grow rapidly with sand volleyball becoming an NCAA emerging sport.
