U.S. Women Lose to Poland at World Grand Prix
Looks like the big time potential players getting the playing time here.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Aug. 8, 2010) – The U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team lost to Poland 16-25, 26-24, 25-19, 25-23 on Sunday afternoon during the opening weekend of preliminary pool play of the 18th FIVB World Grand Prix in Gdynia, Poland.
Team USA, which dropped to 1-2 in this year’s World Grand Prix, travels next week to Bangkok, Thailand, for the second preliminary round weekend and will challenge Italy on Aug. 13, Thailand on Aug. 14 and Puerto Rico on Aug. 15. The U.S. concludes pool play in Hong Kong with matches against Germany on Aug. 20, Thailand on Aug. 21 and China on Aug. 22.

U.S. Women Fall to Germany at World Grand Prix
(Aug. 7, 2010) – The U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team lost to Germany 25-23, 25-22, 16-25, 25-23 on Saturday evening during the opening weekend of preliminary pool play of the 18th FIVB World Grand Prix in Gdynia, Poland.
Team USA, which falls to 1-1 in this year’s World Grand Prix, concludes the Pool B preliminary round weekend against host Poland (2-0) on Aug. 8 at 7:15 a.m. Pacific Time.

U.S. Women Open FIVB World Grand Prix with Win
(Aug. 6, 2010) – Destinee Hooker (San Antonio, Texas) collected a match-high 17 points as the U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team opened the 18th FIVB World Grand Prix with a 26-24, 22-25, 25-14, 25-19 victory over NORCECA-rival Dominican Republic on Friday evening in Gdynia, Poland.
