"Maryland's freshman Mary Cushman exploded onto the scene during the Tiger Invitational last weekend in Columbia, Mo. Cushman, who was named to the All-Tournament team, led all squads in kills twice, first against Mizzou and again vs. Nevada. The Rochester, N.Y., native paced the Maryland offense finishing with 39 total kills and a .342 attack percentage."
