1. If Bernie were Q's height.....he'd be tall and we would call him B.
2. Better alumni team? ooooohhh that's a good one. It would be very close. UB the amazing team from 89-93 and then again in 98-00. GCC had Davenport, Faust, Federico, etc.. I would like to see the UB alumns go agianst the GCC alumns.
3. If the O Dell's played beach seriously...they would probably dominate.
4. Would Voice be good if we hadn't taken him in? Probably not. He would have been stuck playing with Paul Madoo and Dave Shirley.
5. Teaming with Retired was the best thing to ever happen to Voice. His game went from decent A player to elite A player in a very short time. He's still a punk though.
I know I wasn't supposed to answer these questions, but I can't stand to see any more posts about Jon Brady and Joe Klein. They are good young players that need to venture out and play better competition.... case closed. Move to Rochester, train on the beach with the likes of Voice, Sanchez etc. Regardless of how loud their bark is, they will train with you guys. I've seen you play, you have the game to be very good, but you've reached the peak in Buffalo. You will not get any better playing at Rats. Volleyball is so much more fun when you get out and meet people. |

Thanks Rhino. As much as everyone is tired about talking about myself or Joe, i would just like to say i agree that we have met our peak in Buffalo beach volleyball. I wish that we could make it out to more rochester tournys but money is tight and it's not a cheap ride for us. Also i am actually looking to move somewhere where the beach scene is more competitve but i am looking more towards south rather than rochester, just cause i can't stand this state anymore. Not saying that beach is better in the south, just saying i would like the change for a little while. the only problem i face is that i fear sometimes that my partner is not as dedicated to the (beach) game as i am. but oh well. once again Rhino thanks for the compliments and i hope some day we will meet on the beach and play some good ball. |

Klein's career can only take off when Brady stops being his partner. Since he can't play at BYU anymore, he could probably dedicate more time to the beach and do well in some sweet tournaments. Someone help that kid find a good partner. |

Dave and Chop are good players from Buffalo and you only think Ptak could be good because he went to IPFW. Can we say man crush? |

To Brady's credit, he can certainly play while his height limits him to some degree. He isn't terribly fearsome at the net defensively, but he can pass very well and has a jump serve that can turn a game around. Offensively, he is unpredictable and forces teams to put a block up against him which allows him to be more selective with his attacks. He has matured so very much over the last year. While I am reading posts that Klein is the star and needs to find a partner that is at his level, I would contend that Brady is the anchor of that team. |

Pringo, what is your deal man?? What's with all the hate?? As long as I have played volleyball everyone i have met has been nice to me and I to them. The volleyball community is pretty tight considering a lot of people don't play the sport like football and baseball. It just doesn't have the "all american" aspect to it. So us players there are have to stick together and you are sure as hell not doing anything good for the game by talking down to players. And as far as anything about klein goes, i play with him, i know how he plays. he is unable to play under pressure and has one of the worst attitudes i have ever experienced. and if it weren't for me always paying in advance and registering us in tournaments we wouldn't even play in any events, anywhere. |

His game went from ok BB player to ASPEN VACATION player in a very short time.
And being a punk is half of the secret to his success.

They have definitley reached their peak in Buffalo...The best for Brady might be to hang up his shorts and maybe focus on coaching...It would save him a lot of money( Gas money to Rochester, entry fees to Rats, losing bets, and travel money for his"journey to the south"etc..).. He was a very successful Rats player but he wont cut it at the other areas... As for Klein, you are a fine player, and best of luck to you! |

Silly little Waszak, you are messing with fire and you are most certainly going to get burned. What i meant was i was nice to people that played the game the right way and had deacent beach skills. That you do not. Figure it out. BSS1001 who are you to judge my skills?? You have probably never even seen me play. You are probably just jumping on the bandwagon of haters on this message board. The funniest thing about this topic on the message board is that Jake Waszak of all people was the one who made up the false statements about Klein and myself. For someone who doesn't even play in an "A" tournament at Mickey Rats, that is pretty sad. You should not even be able to speak on this message board. I bet you have never told anyone that all you play in is the "B" tournaments, have you? Well since we all have learned that the "A" competition at Rats isn't as good as at Rochester, it's funny to think that Little Waszak can't even compete in one. How sad. Get a life kid, besides volleyball. |

Will the UB-GCC alum tourney be on sand or hard court? Also, if a degree is required to play the GCC boys could be in a little trouble. As for all the other smack I need to light a candle and hug a puppy so I feel better about myself before Voice tells me I'm too old to play. |

I'm a GCC grad. Didn't play vball though. Was on a couple other teams. Tut is alum, and correct .... if graduating is a condition GCC would have about 3 players. |

Brady...I have never watched you in a SVS event but those events are struggling. The quality of the competition is terrible and a lot of times the turn out of teams is very low. I watched you and Klein play in the tournament at Hot Shots for a couple games and you do NOT have what it takes to play anywhere "South". You would get destroyed in any real tournament down at Charlotte Beach. My comments of "hate" come from watching you play and seeing the attitude you have from finishing decent in bad tournaments. You only treat players in volleyball nice when you are doing well, but get a terrible attitude when you aren't doing so well. Klein is a good player and will be a lot better when he finds the new partner he is looking for. I would say stick to the indoor ball, but seeing the teams you have played on its clearly the reason why you have made the move to beach. |
