Hello Coaches!

My name is Jake Bluhm and I am an assistant coach at Fordham University in New York City.

We are going to be running 2 camps, a team camp and an advanced skills and prospect camp this summer at Fordham.

For the team camp, we are looking to get 16 high school teams and will run 5 total sessions. Each team will be assigned a coach who will be with them throughout the camp. The first session will act as a training session and the rest of the camp will be like a big tournament. We will have round robins and each team will be re-seeded after every session so they can play someone new. The final day will consist of bracket play. The registration fee for players will include all meals throughout the camp, housing on campus and a t-shirt. Each team will have to come with a team chaperone who will also be provided the meals and housing but they will not have to pay the fee. The chaperone can be a parent or a coach. To register, a coach must contact me so I can ad their team to the registration page. This should be a great opportunity for teams to play a bit before their seasons start up in August.

For the advanced skills and prospect camp, players can sign up as individuals and this is geared more towards skill development and training. We have the chance to work with athletes and give them a sample of some of the training methods we use in our program. This is geared for players ages 13-18 and we will place them in appropriate groups so they get the most out of the training. With the registration fee, players will get meals, housing and a t-shirt for the camp. Unlike the team camp, our camp counselors will be monitoring the athletes while we aren't in session for their safety and enjoyment of the camp.

More information abut the camps can be found at www.fordhamvolleyball.com
Coaches who have any questions can feel free to contact me as well so I can give them more information!

We anticipate the team camp to fill up quickly so hopefully coaches can start thinking about assembling their team! Come to New York City this summer for some great volleyball!
