I assume VBPlayah said Pace 17s will be dominant again considering last year, they were 5th at at nationals. There is a lot of skill level at the 16s and 17s age group this year. I also think Pace 15s this year will be fantastic, considering there strong 14s team last year that played up.

This Pace team didn't even make finals? Has the team changed from the one that finished 5th last year?

The Pace 17's lost many important contributors, some of these contributors are-
AJ Davids is now a middle on Pace18's
Shane Chichester is now a star on Victor 17's
Ethan Dangler stayed down on Pace 16's
They are working hard to overcome these losses. They are gearing up for a big big tournament in Richmond where they shall compete for the title!

How about we talk about why Victor is doing well instead of what's wrong with the Pace team? Pace beat Victor twice early in the season, but Victor has won the last two times they've played each other: Albany and Regionals. Victor must be doing something right! They are a strong team that should do well at East Coasts and Nationals.

Don't be such a hater vbfan65, feel free to talk about any team you want instead of complaining to the world. I guess it is your right to keep complaining if that is what you want to do though right!

Victor 17s are very good - probably worthwhile to mention a couple of their additions - Gear and Lindeberg. Pace is good too. If they both do well at East Coasts, they might meet again.

To clear up a couple of things. Shane is good, but if he was a benefactor to Pace, why did Pace not play him last year? The team is not worse for having loss Shane, if the Shane never was a starter on the stellar 16s team. Dangler is also good, but Combs is just as good, if not better. Their big loss was Davids, while Victor also lost Colby Harriman. But Davids also played with the 17s at Albany when Victor beat them the first time.
Each team gained new players, but after watching them, they are extremely equal. Pace did not play bad, in fact they played very well. However, Victor was finding its options better and stayed more consistent than Pace.
If the teams are 2-2, than who wouldn't like to see an equalizer in the East Coast finals

Keven gear is not new to the team he has only played for Victor and did play on our 16's team last year. All new players added are Matt Herbrand, Matt Cardot, Shane Chichester, Steve Lindenburg and Chris Cooper. Nobody is talking about Eden 17's that beat Pace in pool play and my victor 17's in a seeding match for 1st or 2nd. Eden is getting better and better and I would not be suprised if all 3 teams do well @ East Coast.

Shane Chichester is a volleyball god. He lead Brockport to their first ever Boys Volleyball Sectional Finals appearance, and was awarded libero of the year. If a volleyball goes anywhere near him, it becomes a 3 option pass immediately. Any team would be lucky to have him. I once saw him play while blindfolded and being attacked by a grizzly bear, and still put up 30+ digs. He's more clutch then Tim Tebow. He passed a ball before, and the clouds parted and a heavenly light shined down on the ball as it made its way perfectly into the setter's hands. Bryan Warner is also a god at volleyball, he chose not to play club this year so he could go overseas to play professionally while studying to be an astronaut. Both team up during the summer to play beach volleyball and have never been beaten. So the lesson here is, Shane Chichester will make an impact on any team he plays for with his work ethic, great attitude, and excellent passing and defensive abilities.

Now that the clubs are looking forward to East Coasts in Richmond, what are everyone's thoughts on WEVA teams' success there?

Congrats to all the WEVA teams who represented the region soooooo well down at a very competitive ECC. Yes its the first time in as long as I can remember that we did not have a 1st place finish but on the other hand we are sending a RECORD number of teams who won open Bids this year to Nationals. congrats to Southtowns 18, Eden 16 and a shorthanded Eden 17's for getting theirs.
On a side note the Doctors feel Dave Jepson will make a 100% recovery from his broken fibia and tibia......courtesy of a little German engineering..... are real live Iron Man.
Best of Luck at Nationals Boys
