Had 11-11 with bailey in finals, but you need to ask billy abs what happened then..since he left me for a daydream on the next 2 serves,
following year got smacked down with pancakes by eben and elvis in finals
as long as i was setting and pancakes hitting we were hanging in....pancakes changed eben's gender with a straight down thunder smack.
then proceeded to set elvis from there forward, instead of me.
i do believe that was cakes coming out day for big-time finals.

So, I wasn't around on Saturday....how'd you guys do? Just wondering because I have never lost with either one of you and you guys have only lost once when you have played together.
Of course, that one loss you guys suffered was at the hands of Robbie J and I......."ever heard of us?"
Hey, meat helmet.....you still on suicide watch? |

Well, let me put it this way Jtut. I went to Ocean City, Md. and donated my money to the Toyota Pro Beach tournament. My worse finish ever in one of those events.
Then I returned to New York and played in the Ever-summer event at Sylvan Beach. That's when I got paid!!!
I am hoping that my winning ways will continue this weekend at Oneida Shores. This should be the biggest payday of the summer. |

I'm good, voice.....I'm good.....
Just wondering...how did it feel to beat Kevin O'Connell on Sunday? Was it bittersweet redemption? |

How can all you guys from Rochester talk all this smack and never even come to Buffalo and play in a tournament??? That's pretty weak. On top of that I have played in 3 or 4 tournaments in Rochester, 1 being at Charlotte with a partner that is about 5'9" and isn't as good as the person i play with now. That was a year or two ago. And we came in third. At the time we were only 18 and 19 years old. Now for two teenagers to beat a bunch of guys who have been playing for 10 or 15 years, that's pretty sad. And on top of that out of three tournaments that we played at Hot SHots i have a First Place and a Second Place. Win/Loss looks pretty good considering out of four tournaments we placed in the top three 3 times. And don't worry this sat. you guys with get your chance to back up the smack. And just so everyone knows, no one from buffalo that i know talks badly about any player or tournament held in Rochester. I met some pretty cool guys at the tournaments i've played in. So whoever is spreading these bogus rumors quit the $hit. I think Rochester does some really good stuff for the sport and i don't know where i would play in good tournaments if it weren't for NOVA and HotShots.

As for Brady / Klein...They are the best team playing at SVS right now. They have been for the past couple of years. I personally never once heard them utter any negative comment regarding NOVA tournaments or Rochester volleyball in general. I have never heard them say that they were the best team in WNY or that they would dominate Rochester players or anything like that. And I have been around them quite a bit. Keep in mind too that these guys are like 19 years old. They are still getting better.
How well would they do in a mens "A" at NOVA? I believe they would advance out of pool play and could go quite far. I can't say just how far, but I will say that they would make it out of pool play for sure.
As for the voice of reasons challenge to Brady / Klein and his willingness to pay $400 if beaten by them...You man enough to pay up if you lose? Seriously? I question the wisdom in offering up $400 when there is nothing to receive in return. I'll tell you what. Just to make it interesting...Come to Mickey Rats and if you beat Brady / Klein, I will give you $10. You lose and offer up $400 to them (Of which I will gladly take $50). Sound fair? |

1. NYS Champoinships.....we were there....you were not.....were you playing in the "B" level king of the beach? 2. I'd show for the "A" level KOB this weekend, but I'll be busy playing in Baltimore at a Toyota Pro Beach East event.... 3. I have no problem respecting players from Buffalo. Billy Schultz is a state champ. 4. It reflects poorly on you to reference tournament wins at Hotshots.... 5. Maybe next year. |

OH yeah, and just so you know Meathelmet you have to qualify to play in the King Of The Beach. Your too scared to even take the trip to play in a buffalo tourny. nevermind qualify.

Brady. Nice job, keep playing, but meathelmet is right about one thing, don't confuse Hot Shots with "Beach tournaments", they're a whole different animal.
My question is for SVS, why didn't you offer to take voice up on the bet BEFORE you read that he had a dislocated, lacerated, falling off, ugly looking, can't grip himself anymore finger ??
If Brady and Klein break their hands, I will come out of retirement to play them, sound fair ??
Webby and Hubie used to do well, so did Rick Cole/Rocco/Marble/St. Clair whoever they paired with. buffalo has done just fine, but certainly hasn't enjoyed the success, especially recently, of all these "old guys" |
