i noticed there hasn't been any talk about west irond. this year. they are off to a good start at 5 and 1 in division and 7 and 2 overall. this, after starting 5 of their first 6 matches on the road. i think you have to include them in the list of strong contenders when you look at their successfull coach and their track record winning 2 out of the last 3 titles. with returning all county seniors and fresh new talent they have a nice mix.

Does Irondequoit have that outside, I believe her name was Tank? I've seen her play and she can freaking pound the ball, unlike most other girls in the league right now. Irondequoit should be good this year..everyone probably saw this one coming...in the long run they will be better than fairport.

I'm not against Fairport all the time. I just said that in my last post for good humor. You see, the joke is that I usually rip on Fairport for being overratted. However, in my last post, Fairport had nothing to do with the topic, so I added it for a classy touch. Plus, who knows, I might just be ruiting for the underdog because that is what makes life interesting.

If your attracted to a women who's hair isn't at least down to her shoulders, you have issues. One of the issues being that you like girls who look like men.

where do you get "Classy touch" from. Classy is not defined through trashing a team.

i only saw sutherland play at fairport. from what i saw there, i would say that they are an ok team with a lot of potential. there was a lot of second guessing and avoidable mistakes, not to mention a lot of missed serves... things that can be improved upon by the time playoffs come around. maybe it was just a bad game for them. but if not, and they can get it together, they could come out on top in the end.

I think that Sutherland will surprise a lot of people this year. Although they have a fairly young team, they seem to be meshing well and have the potential to take their game to sectional finals. They have great offense as well as an exceptional setter. The way this team complements eachother makes for an exciting match against all of their rivals.

well well...im back again, ive posted too many times on this site, i should probably get a life considering my teams season ended november 9. we went 20-2, thats close to undefeated haha. as for unbeatable teams...hmmm...thats right...not possible. our team was beatable...sure...we lost two times, but we also had unbeatable looks. Id have to say the 2002 victor boys volleyball team was an 11 out of 10...haha laterz

Back to Sutherland...
I like they're team. They are young, quick and aggressive. The last time I saw them play was at the Penfield tournament, which they came out on top in their pool but not after dropping 2 games to Webster. Yikes.
I do believe that a team is as good as the quarterback of their team, being the setter. Pittsford's setter is very good. She takes charge of the court and is very smart. I believe this is what makes their team as good as they are.
(That and them all playing club)

I think that Fairport will come out on top...they have improved a lot since last year. But i think they need to make some changes. Their outside hitter...number6? i am not going to guess on how to spell her last name...is a great player, she passes well, serves well and wow she can hit both line and cross, but she needs to stay positive and not get down on herself. Their weakside hitter Dank, has a great arm swing and a sweet jump serve, but she is a little slow on defense and needs to learn how to jump. Their one middle number 12, whos name i don't know, is a great player,(when she is set) she swings away and has very impressive hits, but she needs to learn how to swing second arm swing, their setter sam carr, it the best in section 5 but needs to set her middles more, more, more and take advantage of 12's ability.
If they can fix their flaws, they will take the title easily...

wow, im glad to see that my team has been talked about alot, even myself...i dont understand why everyones putting everyone down, in the end is when well see who the "best" team is..and it may not even be the best team it might be the team who plays there hardest and/or is "on" more than the other team yea, so i suck at defense..im sorry that i only play volleyball during this season i dont play club, so if i get better its only during the school season, i dont care but it doesnt help my self esteem when someone that i dont even know says that im slow or whatever and so i dont jump high...i get the ball over the net .. thast all i care about im tall enough to do that so it doesnt matter..thast all i have to say... Volleychic, are you a player, a coach..a fan?? You seem to know a lot about Fairport. Just wondered where you were coming from.

I am a volleyball fan, at this point in the season i am a fan of Fairport, because they are in first place. I have been to a few of Fairports games and i enjoy watching them play.
one another note... Ms. Dank, I did not write what i wrote to upset you...you are a wonderful player who puts her heart into the game, please don't take me the wrong way...the reason i said what i did was for your benefit. I have heard through different sources that the Fairport players are not fond of their coach because she doesn't do much coaching, i thought it may help to hear an outside opinion. Again i apologize, and look forward to watching you play again...

Ms. Dank. There is a reason that you get so much ink. When you were a junior, you put the "P" in phenomenal. "Who is this kid and where did she come from," were constant questions. And this is another year, and what are you and yours doing? You are again at the top! Unfortunately, when that happens, people are looking for the chink in your armor. As they argued with Steffi Graf & Martini Navratilova, that they didn't have good enough backhands, so do they look at you. All Stars get critiqued, but if they still win, the criticism is empty. Considering the amount of experience and training, you have received, you have achieved beyond expectations! Of course, some people are jealous. I don't believe that there is a coach or player, in these here parts, that would not consider it an awesome situation to have you on their squad. I know some people are curious, too, as to your ultimate potential. What type of player would you be, with more experience or training? A lot of volleyball fans are exceedingly curious about this. "The skies the limit," I've heard Louie and Clark say. Well, the truth is that your game would be monstrous. More than likely, those chinks in your game, would disappear, and your range as a player would increase. I know your competitors would not like that. You scare them enough as it is. I imagine the same is true in softball. You are gifted, a very gifted young lady. I enjoy watching you play and I know I am not the only one. So, disregard the negativity and enjoy your seasons.
